Writing in cursive

Izzy is enjoying learning cursive at her new school!! She spent an hour doing her "work" at home after school today!! Hopefully, she will continue to love learning!!! She makes us proud!!
Livi makes us proud too! And she makes us laugh - CONSTANTLY! She is seriously hilarious.
I love Livi's expression in this one!

Visiting with their GREAT GRANDMOTHER

We don't get to see my Grandmother (Bobbi) nearly as much as we would like. Izzy hadn't seen Bobbi in almost an entire year! Even so,  Izzy talks about Bobbi frequently and asks about her new house (she is in assisted living now). She'll say "Remember when we visited Bobbi at her pretty new house?" Also, she loves to talk about Bobbi when she hold the various blankets and toys Bobbi knitted for us before her stroke. Izzy know EXACTLY who made these treasured items :)

Well, we visited Bobbi a couple days ago, and Izzy was SO THRILLED to show Bobbi how she can read! We had such a nice visit - and I will NOT let it go that long that my girls don't see their Great Grandmother EVER AGAIN!

Daddy's Birthday

Since Daddy had the lousy luck of working on his birthday this year, we visited him at the station. We brought him some gluten-free brownies and spent some time "driving" the fire trucks.

My Little Shining Star

When I say that she is a shining star, I don't mean that she is a natural dancer. She actually does have a lot of grace for a 5 year old - but that's not what I'm describing. She is a shining star because she literally BEAMS the entire time she is in dance. I'm not sure why she loves it so much -- but she is hooked. I've never seen her pay SO MUCH ATTENTION to anyone as she does her easy-going dance teachers. She is so focused, and she is so determined to get it right when they come to her individually to see if she has mastered the "move" they are teaching. I couldn't be more proud of my little beaming ballerina.
