Excitement
One of my favorite parts of bring a mom is watching my girls zest for living. My kids HATE to nap. They simply don't have time for it. It's like they're afraid that they're going to miss out on something amazing. Meanwhile, I'm dying for a nap. I could learn a lot from their love of intensely experiencing every single moment. This week Olivia has been lying down in her bath for the first time. She use to be scared by the feeling of the water so close to her eyes. But the last few time she's taken a bath, she's reclined in the bath and just relished the feeling of the warm water on her cheeks. She likes to talk really loud while she reclines to experiment with the sound of her voice while her ears are under the water. These moments are small and seemingly insignificant, but I feel so blessed to be a witness to them, and I know that I can learn so much from my daughters' eagerness to soak in every experience.
